I frequent this branch probably more often than the one closer to home, partially because it's closer to work, but also because it has the gas station on the lot. Standalone store so there's lots of parking, unlike some mall branches where things can get cramped. Staff is average, and stock levels are usually good.

Bought winter tires. Had to call 3 times to speak to someone for the install as they wouldn't call back. Dropped off car, extra rims with old winter tires, and new winter tires. Explained to every technician we saw that we wanted the old winter tires off the extra rims, the new tires put on the extra rims, and then the new winter tire package put onto the car. These instructions were recorded on the service work order - we saw them. After 8 hours we came to pick up the car. They had taken the summer tires off the summer rims and put the new winter tires on them. The old winter tires and extra rims were sitting there; untouched.

EDIT: In the tire department Clint is the only helpful associate I have dealt with. He has been SO very helpful in taking over with fixing my car as the original associate I spoke to didn't even bother to call us back to get the work started. Ive never had good experiences at Canadian Tire. The automotive staff are generally rude and gives inaccurate details/price quotes. I had to bring my car there by tow truck because 1 of my tires blew while I was driving and the other went flat as a result of my trying to brake into the ditch. I had to get my car towed all the way home from Saskatoon - we left my car in the lot because the store wasn't open yet. When I called from home (once the store had opened) to see when they could get to my car and also to get a quote, he told me one price per tire but called back to give me a total which came up to more than twice what he told me originally - but I though okay, what ever I guess, I need my car so the price will be what it is. But I don't have any means of transport besides my car and my house is almost a 4km walk one way to that location, so I asked if I could approve the work and pay over the phone. But was then told that I am not able to pay over the phone and had to come down and pay in person, which means I would be forced to walk 3.7 km there and then back to my house afterwards just to get them to START the service - I'd then have to walk back a 3rd time to pick it up once they finished.. So ya.. a bit of a hassle but I took him at his word that they weren't able to take phone payments. I was trying to arrange everything the next day and maybe find a ride one way at least. My mom, being aware of the situation then called them again to see about over the phone payment - as she has done it through them before. She asked if she could authorize payment and the work over the phone because my car is legally hers I just drive it because she now lives in the states and doesn't need it unless she's home to visit - which I explained to the guy the day before but he wouldn't bother to listen - and then all of a sudden they can take payments over the phone? It isn't against the rules all of a sudden? Like really dude.. stick to your stupid rules if that's what they actually are. Needless to say when I go back get my car I will be bringing this up to him.. It shouldn't be possible for one person over another, the rules should be the same for everyone. I could have already had my car back and been on with my day if they would have just bothered to take my payment yesterday morning when I had originally called.. I was hesitant to bring it to them to begin with, but it was an emergency, also a Sunday leaving the options were very limited. I am unimpressed to say the least lol. I won't be going back after this unless it's another emergency situation.. and even then. Only if it's Sunday. Smh.
